Install on Android, one check at a time
A practical sequence from choosing the source to reviewing Android’s installation message.
1. Confirm the release
Read the current status on the download page. Match the brand, file source and publisher evidence before treating a file as authorised. The listed file still needs current-release confirmation.
2. Save a complete download
Use a stable connection and wait for the browser to show completion. Compare the file’s exact size with the dated record; an interrupted download is not ready to install.
3. Check your existing app
If this is an update, keep access to your current account and note the installed version. Similar names do not prove matching package identity or signatures. Do not uninstall just to bypass an update error.
4. Open the file and read the prompt
Open the completed file from Downloads or your file manager. If Android asks to allow installation from that source, first verify it is the browser or file manager you used. Labels differ between devices.
5. Keep security protection enabled
Review requested permissions and the publisher’s app privacy information. If a harmful-app warning appears, stop. An ordinary source permission and a security block are different messages.
6. Finish or record the failure
If installation completes, review the app’s own notices before continuing. Remove source-install permission when no longer needed. If it fails, save the exact message and use the troubleshooting guide; do not repeatedly retry without changing a relevant condition.
The images are checklists, not screenshots from the app. Installation and on-device behaviour have not been tested for this release.
